Preliminary Budget Keeps Taxes Flat in Borough

Borough Council will have a final vote on the budget during the Dec. 16 meeting.

Doylestown Borough Council on Monday introduced a $6.02 preliminary budget for 2014 that will keep taxes flat.

If approved next month, the tax rate would remain at 12.725 mills, or $330.85 for the home valued at the borough average of $26,000.

Council will have a final vote on the budget during the Dec. 16 meeting.

According to information from Doylestown Borough’s website, the borough’s preliminary water fund budget will keep rates stable.
