Contested Races in Borough, Township on Tuesday's Ballot

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

In Doylestown Borough, voters will be selecting the next mayor and tax collector, as well as members of Borough Council. 

Mayoral candidates are Ronald Strouse, a Democrat, and Bruce Rutherford, a Republican.  Democrat Kari Williams Tyksinski faces Republican Anastasia Przybylski for tax collector.

For Borough Council’s ward one, Democrat Wendy Margolis faces Republican Joseph W. Shandlay for a two-year term. Also in ward one, Democrats Det Ansinn and Noni West face Republicans Jim Aldredge and Charles F. Scott for two, four-year term seats.

In ward two, Democrats Jack O'Brien and Kevin M. Kelly are up against Republicans Joe Flood and Louis Mintzer for two, four-year term seats.

The race in ward three is uncontested with Democrats David Laustsen and Susan Madian facing no opposition.

In Doylestown Township, Democrats Ken Snyder and Larry Glick are running against Republicans Rick Colello and E. Thomas Scarborough Jr. for two seats on the township’s Board of Supervisors.

In Buckingham, Michael Hutkin, a Democrat, is on the ballot with Republican Paul Calderaio for one seat on the township’s Board of Supervisors. Auditor and tax collector races in Buckingham are also contested. (See the election guide for full details.)
