Superintendent Leaving Central Bucks

The school district has announced the Central Bucks School Board and Rodney Green "mutually agreed" that his tenure as superintendent will conclude at the end of this month.

Central Bucks Superintendent Rodney Green will leave the district after less than one year of employment, according to an announcement on the district website.

The school district has announced the Central Bucks School Board and Green “mutually agreed” that his tenure as superintendent will conclude at the end of this month.

“Dr. Green is thankful for the opportunity to lead the Central Bucks School District this past year. He wishes the school district well as it continues to provide the best possible education for the community’s children,” the announcement on the district’s website said.

The school board hired Green in July 2012 and he began in October of that year. He came to the district from Michigan and had more than 20 years of experience as a superintendent.

His contract was not scheduled to expire until July 30, 2016, according to a report by the Courier Times.

School board president Stephen Corr told the Courier Times there will be a special meeting to vote on the agreement at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Central Bucks West High School.
