Man, 21, Charged in Doylestown Stabbing

A man who just turned 21 has been charged with attempted homicide in a stabbing early Wednesday near the Doylestown train station.

A Doylestown man — Dale Michael Wakefield — who just turned 21 this week was arrested Thursday in Baltimore and charged with attempted homicide in a stabbing that happened early Wednesday, according to Philly.com.

Officials say Wakefield  stabbed George Mohr, 71, who is thought to be homeless,  near a bus shelter on South Clinton Street near the Dolyestown train station. Mohr was flown to a hospital for emergency surgery.

Investigators did not say what prompted the attack.

Anyone with information about Mohr, including whether he has any friends or relatives, is asked to call investigators at 215-348-7400. 

Police say they've seen Mohr in town in the past and he may have arrived via train on Tuesday, according to a PhillyBurbs report. His last known address is Phoenix, Ariz.
