The Scarecrows are Out at Peddler's Village

Peddler's Village's Scarecrow Festival is this weekend.

If it’s fall, it means the scarecrows are out. At Peddler’s Village, that is.

The annual scarecrow display is now up Peddler’s Village and will continue through Oct. 27.

This weekend, Peddler’s Village will host its Scarecrow Festival, which will feature a variety of fun fall activities. There will be scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin pie eating contests, pumpkin painting, live music and more.

The festival will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Scarecrow categories include: Philly love; quite the character; traditional/whirligig; extraordinary contemporary; group; and kid’s only.

Peddler's Village shoppers will vote for their favorites by casting ballots, which will be available at retailers.  More than $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of various categories.

Want to learn to make your own scarecrow? There will scarecrow making workshops this weekend also. The cost is $30 per person and includes all materials. Reservations recommended, click here for details.

Peddler's Village is located at Route 202 and 263 in the Lahaska section of Buckingham Township.
