'Going All Out' For Kids Castle Reopening Sunday

Sunday's reopening celebration will feature food trucks, a children's show, crafts, music and more.

Sunday’s event to mark the reopening of Kids Castle is shaping up to be quite a celebration.

The event, to be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in Doylestown Township’s Central Park, will feature entertainment, food trucks, music, crafts and more, said Jon Biedermann, a volunteer with the Save Kids Castle organization.

Biedermann said there will be a children’s show, which will have two performance times, and numerous food trucks prepared to handle large crowds.

“We’re going all out,” Biedermann said.

“It’s not just about the castle,” he said, adding people can get something to eat, enjoy live entertainment and enjoy a day with their family.

Food trucks will be ready for guests who arrive earlier than 2 p.m., Biedermann said. Food trucks expected to attend include Taste of Philly, Duck Deli, Bonjour Creperie, a truck specializing in surf and turf and an ice cream truck.

Bidermann said the castle looks “really, really good” and as of Monday, the final touches were being completed. Click here to learn about the repairs made to the castle.
