Duck Dynasty in Doylestown

A duck got to ride shotgun in a pickup after being saved from West State Street.

A duck that was rescued by Doylestown Borough Public Works employees had the ride of a lifetime Monday. The duck got to ride shotgun in a pickup after being saved from West State Street.

According to borough employee Dave Burger, the duck was found in the middle of West State Street.

Two public works summer employees moved him to the sidewalk and then called Burger.

“I arrived, picked him up and put him in the truck with me.  He proceeded to stand on the seat.  The duck was in no hurry to fly away or attack me so I took him for a ride.  I then took him to the retention pond behind the public works facility and let him go,” Burger said in an email.
