Home on Westaway Lane Burglarized

Plus, one cited for stealing from Redner's and another for public drunkenness.

Doylestown Township police are investigating yet another home burglary.

Police said a home in the 2 digit block of Westaway Lane was broken into on Friday, Feb. 17. It happened sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., they said.

The home's rear door was broken down, police said, and the thief or thieves stole cash and various items of jewelry.

Retail Theft

On Feb. 13 at 12:30 p.m., the department was called to Redner’s Market, 1661 Easton Road, for a report of retail theft. Investigation determined that Sandra Lawrence, 68, of Doylestown, had removed items valued at $14.88.

She was issued a citation for a summary violation and released.

Public Drunkenness

On Feb. 13 at 3:45 p.m., the department was called to the
1200 block of Almshouse Road to investigate an intoxicated subject. Raymond Connor, 48, of Trevose, was found with the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him and he appeared under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Mark Douple on charges of public drunkenness. He was committed to the Bucks County Correctional Facility; bail was set at $300.
