CB East choir joins Justin in Philly parade

Buckingham native serenades crowds in the country's oldest Thanksgiving parade.

Elmo was there, and so was Goofy, and even the Eagles cheerleaders. But for many local families, the stars of the 2010 Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia were from the Doylestown area. Justin Guarini, the runner up from American Idol's debut season, sang "Some Kind of Wonderful." Guarini, who graduated from Central Bucks East High School in Buckingham in 1997, was joined by teenagers from his hometown. The CB East Choir, along with the choir from Central Bucks South, in Warrington, sang with Guarini, while the CB East cheerleaders revved up the crowd. It was a fun, local moment in the popular parade, which also featured Bert and other Sesame Street friends singing "Sleigh Ride", a 50-foot-tall "Twinkles" the Snowman and too many …
