Purse, Bicycle, Handicapped Placard Stolen

Doylestown Borough Police investigate several recent thefts including a teen's wallet that had $200 inside.

Doylestown Borough Police are investigating several recent reports of theft. In the first incident, a resident of Wesley Enhanced Living reported that someone stole a purse from her apartment on Friday, March 1 sometime between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. The purse contained the victim’s insurance card, driver’s license, a debit card, and a store credit card. The victim reported that her debit card had been used four times in the Philadelphia area between the time of theft and reporting the incident on Monday, March 4. In a second incident, a handicap parking placard was stolen from a vehicle parked on Mary Street on Thursday, Feb. 28. MacBooks Stolen on Maple Avenue

Police say two laptops were stolen from a home on Doylestown's Maple Avenue, the second time in about three weeks.

Two MacBook Pro computers were stolen recently from a home on Maple Avenue, the second theft of Mac laptops from houses on the street in three weeks. Someone entered a home on the 500 block of Maple Avenue and took the two Macs sometime between 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, according to Doylestown Borough Police. There were no signs of forced entry into the home, Police Chief Jim Donnelly told Patch. The residents of the home were home when the theft occurred, but were asleep and didn't hear or see anything, Donnelly said. Doylestown Police Report Burglary, Theft

Doylestown Borough Police are investigating reports of burglary and thefts from vehicles this week.

Doylestown Borough Police are investigating a burglary and reports of theft this week. A resident of the 300 block of Maple Avenue recently reported that someone entered an unlocked rear door and removed a MacBook Pro computer from the home. Police Chief Jim Donnelly said the resident had fallen asleep on a couch in the living room and forgot to lock the door. Someone entered the home and stole the computer, but left without taking anything else, possibly because the thief heard or saw the resident in the other room, Donnelly said. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 11 sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. The computer is valued at $1,199, according to police reports. Police also are investigating recent thefts from vehicles. Police: Man Tries to Steal Cart Full of Red Bull

Police say a man tried to make off with a cart full of an energy drink from the Doylestown Acme.

He must have a had a really tough time waking up. An unidentified man recently tried to make off with a cart full of Red Bull from the Doylestown Acme, according to police reports. A representative from the grocery store on North Main Street told police that someone tried to steal a cart full of the energy drink last week. "I guess he needed some pep," Doylestown Borough Police Chief Jim Donnelly said Thursday. Produced by an Austrian company, Red Bull claims the drink increases concentration and reaction speed, among other things. The would-be thief was unsuccessful in his attempt. Donnelly said store employees chased the man, who dropped the Red Bull and ran off. The Red Bull was valued at $320.05, according to police reports.  The …

Police Investigating Theft in Doylestown

A wallet, a wreath and two bicycles are among items stolen recently in Doylestown Borough.

Doylestown Borough Police are investigating three incidents of theft in recent weeks. A wallet, a wreath and two bicycles are among the items reported missing recently, according to police reports released this week. Officers are investigating the report of a wallet being stolen from a classroom at Central Bucks High School West on Tuesday, Dec. 18 between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The wallet contained the victim’s driver’s license, credit cards, and approximately $20. In the second incident, a resident on the 100 block of W. Oakland Avenue reported that someone stole a wreath from his front door sometime between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19 and 8 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20.  The wreath is valued at approximately $20.
