A car crash on Rt. 413 early Friday has killed a Doylestown man. Buckingham police are investigating the crash, which occured when a car struck a utility pole, according to a report on phillyburbs.com. Justin M. Pray, 28, of Sagewood Court, Doylestown, (Buckingham Township) was killed in the crash, according to police. Doylestown borough police, the Central Bucks Ambulance and the Midway Fire Co. assisted at the scene, according to phillyburbs. Buckingham Township Police are asking for the public's help in locating a car that may have been involved in an attempted case of child luring. Police said Friday afternoon that they are looking for a navy blue Mercedes Benz sedan, with "2009" written in yellow marker along the upper left side of the windshield. A 12-year-old boy told police he got off his school bus at the intersection of Concord Road and Lexington Drive Friday after school. As he was walking, the navy blue Mercedes pulled up to him. The boy told police a woman was driving the car, and a man was sitting in the back seat behind tinted windows. The woman asked the boy to get in the car "to show them around," according to police. Buckingham police handed out information about recent changes to the state's seatbelt laws.
Buckingham Township police recently conducted a seatbelt compliance checkpoint at Central Bucks High School East at the end of the school day. During the operation on Friday, Feb. 24, officers handed out information on recent changes in the seatbelt laws that specifically affect junior drivers and passengers under the age of 18. This detail will be followed at a later date by a second checkpoint that will target enforcement of these regulations, police said. These details are sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as part of their Buckle Up PA program. The members of the Buckingham Township police department encourage all drivers to buckle up as wearing your seatbelt can save your life.
