Linden Elementary School

In a town where history is revered, Linden Elementary has pride of place for being the oldest elementary school inMore Doylestown. It was completed in 1960 to alleviate overcrowding at the Doylestown Borough School. The Borough School burned down in 1973, making Linden the oldest surviving Doylestown public school still in use. Today, it educates nearly 500 students in  kindergarten through sixth grade.

The government of this 2.2-square-mile Borough is administered from this historic building on CourtMore Street. Doylestown incorporated in 1838, and today is governed by nine council members and a mayor who meet monthly, usually on the third Monday of the month at 7pm. The Borough's police department is also headquartered here; it has a separate entrance in the rear.
