Church lore holds that its first services were held outdoors in the summer of 1837 on the site where its first church would be built just a few short years later. Over the course of the next 173 years, the congregation expanded from a small, rural parish and now cares for the needs of both its older members and the families with young children who joined the church family as the suburban population of Buckingham burgeoned. Today, it offers children's programs, adult education and outreach, as well as two Sunday worship services, at 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
