<p>The Doylestown Historical Society building is located on S. Main Street near the center of town.</p>
<p>The society was started in 1995 with the mission of preserving the local historic business of Doylestown in a time when newer construction and industry was taking over.</p> <p>The museum is only open on weekends or by appointment for visitors interested in taking a tour of the building and the various exhibits.</p> <p>Permanent exhibits include:</p> <p>Henry Chapman Mercer - A Great Doylestonian - (1865-1930)<br> <br>Wlliam Watts Hart Davis - Doylestown's Foremost Historian - (1820-1910)<br> <br>Dr, William Edgar Geil - Doylestown's Evangelical World Explorer - (1865-1925)</p>
