Learn About Genealogical Research

What: "Dowered or Bound Out: Records of Widows and Orphans, A presentation by the Bucks County Genealogical Society
Where:  David Library of the American Revolution, 1201 River Road, Washington Crossing, PA
When: Saturday, Jan. 4, 10 a.m.
Why go: Interested in researching your heritage? Learn how the law in the past treated widows and orphans, and what the records may tell us about them.
Cost: $5 Members/$10 Non-Members.

Shop an Indoor Farmers' Market

What: Choose from a selection of fresh food and goods including bread and baked goods, cheese and yogurt, eggs, greens, jams and jellies, prepared foods, organic coffee, award-winning cookies, alpaca wool goods, handmade soaps, other crafts and seasonal plants.
Where: Ottsville Indoor Farmers' Market, at the greenhouse at Linden Hill Gardens, 8230 Easton Road, Ottsville
When: Saturday, Jan. 4, 10 a.m.
Why Go: You can purchase fresh, local food and handmade products as well as winter activities including s’more making and skating.
Cost: Free to enter. 

Kids Night Out at DRG

What: A rock climbing adventure just for kids, modeled after Doylestown Rock Gym's popular climbing camp program. 
Where: Doylestown Rock Gym, 3853 Old Easton Road, Doylestown
When: Saturday, Jan. 4, 6 to 9 p.m.
Why Go: Want to get out for a night on the town? Or maybe just a quiet 
evening? Let the kids have their night, so you can have yours.
Cost: $35 per child ($20 for DRG members) $15 per sibling. Ages 5-12 are welcome. Price includes pizza and all climbing equipment.

Winterfest

What: Check out what the Y has to offer during this annual open house. Spin the wheel for great prizes, try free sampler classes, enjoy some healthy snacks and more. 
Where:Central Bucks Family YMCA, 2500 Lower State Road, Doylestown

Why Go: Become a member of the Y during Winterfest and pay no joining fee.
