Howl-O-Ween, Trick or Treat at Kids Castle Among Weekend Events

What: The Central Bucks Family YMCA is hosting a Boo Bash. Children can show off their costumes and enjoy dancing, games and refreshments.

What: Discover the history and folklore of the Mercer Museum’s chilling and ghoulish objects, including the hearse, gallows, witch doctor's canes, brooms and more on this seasonal nighttime tour.

What: The Market at Delaware Valley College is hosting a pumpkin carving contest. Enter a painted, carved, or decorated pumpkin for the chance to win prizes.

What: The second Annual Race Against Poverty 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run.
When/where: The 5K starts at 9 a.m. and the Fun Run starts at 9:15 a.m. at Central Park, 452 Wells Rd. All proceeds will go to support Poverty Resolutions, a nonprofit organization located in Doylestown.
Cost: $30 for the 5K, $20 for the fun run.
What: Doylestown Township Parks and Recreation is hosting Howl-o-Ween for dogs.The event will feature a costume contest, activities for pets, agility demonstrations, pet rescue groups, vendors and more.
When/where: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Doylestown Dog Park, 1232 Almshouse Rd, Doylestown

What: Children 6th grade and younger can dress in costume for an afternoon of trick-or-treating at Kids Castle. The day will feature live entertainment, games and activities.
When/where: Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Kids Castle, 425 Wells Rd.

What: Children 12 and younger dressed in costume are invited to trick or treat at the Shops at Valley Square
