Volunteers Needed Thursday to Plant Baskets

The Doylestown Business and Community Alliance didn't get a great turnout on Tuesday, so a lot of work remains to be finished.

The group responsible for decorating the borough in its spring finery needs a bit of help.

A welcome sign of spring in Doylestown is the return of the flower baskets being hung on the lampposts downtown. But before the baskets can be hung, they first must be planted, and the turnout on Tuesday for the first round of basket planting wasn't as robust as necessary.

So Wednesday, the Doylestown Business and Community Alliance renewed its call for volunteers to help plant the flower baskets on:

  • Saturday, April  14, 2012 9 a.m. - until done

 
If you can help, meet at Geerlings' Sunlit Farms, 3091 Street Road Warrington. Enter the greenhouses through the barn.

Preparing the baskets for planting is a messy job, so organizers ask that volunteers wear clothes and shoes that they don't mind getting wet and dirty.
