The race, which is the equivalent of 1.86 miles, is a fundraiser benefiting the iRun4Life organization, Brennan said.

The iRun4Life organization supports elementary school running programs that help promote self esteem, health and fitness, she noted. Brennan said the program is active in 13 Central Bucks schools, including Linden, Cold Spring, Doyle and Groveland elementary schools.

The 3k race will have all the amenities of a regular 5K race—there will be chip timing, water stops, refreshments, vendor activities and more.  The only adults that can race are those accompanying a kindergarten or first-grade racer.

The race kicks off at 9 a.m. and registration is still open. Online registration will close Thursday. The cost for online registration is $15. Runners can register the day of the race for $25.
