Participants will choose from four routes ranging from 10 to 60 miles. Each route winds through scenic Bucks County. Rest stops will be provided and lunch will follow the ride, according to organizers.

Also that day, Dr. KC Wilder, a renowned sports psychologist, award winning cyclist, author and mother of two, will host a safety and skills clinic for children ages six through ten as part of the kids’ activities planned for the event.

“Bicycling is a lifelong sport that gives us freedom to go places, and keep fit,” Wilder said. “Learning the rules of the road gives children self-confidence, and judgment on how, and where they should ride.”

Wilder will teach participants the fundamentals of bicycle safety before they complete an obstacle course. Each participant will receive an award.

There is no additional charge for the clinic but Wilder will be offering autographed copies of her book Tour de You for $10. The proceeds from book sales will be donated to Cycle Bucks County.

Dr. KC Wilder’s “Safety Town” Clinic starts at 11 a.m. and will last approximately 30 minutes.  The safety portion of the clinic will conclude with a friendly race and prizes for all that participate.  Helmets are required, organizers said.

Registration is $55 in advance and $60 the day of the event.
