Celebrate the Fourth of July in Doylestown

Here's your handy Patch guide to having the best Fourth of July possible in and around Doylestown.

The Fourth of July is this week, which means a chance to celebrate our nation's independence with barbecues, sunshine and fireworks. 

Here's a rundown of where to celebrate the Fourth of July this week in and around Doylestown. 

SOUNDS OF SUMMER
What: A fireworks show will happen after a concert by the Philly Party Band. The event is part of Doylestown's Sounds of Summer series.
When/where: 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Central Park.  
Cost: $5 per car. 

SOUTHAMPTON DAYS
What: 
The annual country fair in Southampton and will feature a parade, fireworks, rides and more.
When/where: Through Saturday; fireworks and parade are on Thursday at 1255 Second St. Pike Southampton. Click here for details. 
Cost: $3 on July 4 only. Fee covers fireworks and concert.

SESAME PLACE JULY 4 CELEBRATION
What: 
Sesame Place, the children's theme park in Langhorne, will celebrate Independence day with a BBQ and fireworks.
When/where: Thursday at 5 and 7:30 p.m. at Sesame Place 
Cost: $26.99 for adults, $16.99 for kids. Click here for details. 

FRIDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS
What: 
Catch the Friday night fireworks over the Delaware River
When/where: Friday at 9:30 p.m. over the Delaware in Lambertville and New Hope.
Cost: Free

NEWTOWN'S FIRST FOURTH
What:
 Newtown's annual First Fourth celebration will feature a fireworks show, food, vendors and entertainment. 
When/where: Saturday at Newtown Middle School. Food, vendors and entertainment kicks off at 6 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Cost: Free
