Help Local Teen Win USA Today Ultimate Athlete Award
Online voting for local basketball player Alex Louin began Monday and ends Dec. 16.
A local teen is one of 32 semi-finalists in the USA Today Ultimate Athlete 2013 award.
Alex Louin began her basketball career at age 5 while playing with the Doylestown and Our Lady of Mount Carmel CYO. She was selected to be in the nationwide contest by a panel formed by USA TODAY High School Sports.
She received 26,400 online votes to make it to the semi-finals of the competition, which began Nov. 26. The winner of the contest will be featured on the USA TODAY and USATODAY High School Sports websites, plus a $1,000 donation will be made to their school's athletic department, among other prizes.

Voting will be open through Dec. 16. Click here to vote.
Alex is a senior at Mount Saint Joseph Academy, where she has been a varsity starter and team captain for three years. As point guard, she was the leading scorer during her Sophmore and Junior years.
