Weitzel Appointed as Superintendent

But the details of Weitzel's contract are still being worked out.

The Central Bucks School Board has appointed David Weitzel as superintendent for a three-year term beginning Oct. 9. The decision was made during a meeting Tuesday.

Weitzel has been serving as acting superintendent since late July, after the board approved a costly separation agreement with former superintendent Rodney Green, who left the district after nine months.

According to the board, the details of Weitzel’s contract are still being worked out.

He has also been a teacher in the Philadelphia Catholic Schools, a special education teacher in the Philadelphia Public Schools and has served in three administrative positions at LaSalle University, according to information provided by the district.
