The athlete's message is sure to resonate with Plumstead Christian's supporters.

"Tebow’s commitment to Christ and his compassion for children who are hurting, as demonstrated through the Tim Tebow Foundation, mirrors our own mission to teach students to think biblically, serve effectively, and lead Christ-centered lives," Fitzpatrick said in a statement.

"I am confident that his message of faith, family, and football will challenge and inspire our community just as the way he lives his life on and off the field has been an inspiration to millions."

Homeschooled by Christian missionary parents, Tebow played football at a public high school in Florida before taking his throwing arm to the Florida Gators. In 2007, as a sophomore, he won the Heisman Trophy. In 2010, he was drafted by the Denver Broncos; today, he plays for the New York Jets.

Even as a college student, Tebow used his popularity to lend weight to fundraising for such charities as an orphanage in the Phillipines and a hospital in Florida. In 2010, he launched the Tim Tebow Foundation, the mission of which "is to use the platform
that God has given to Tim to fulfill the Foundation’s mission of bringing
Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour
 of need."

Tebow's visit to Bucks County will include two events during the evening, which will be held on Mon, April 15, 2013 at Calvary Church on Rt. 113 in Hilltown Township (Souderton GPS and mailing address.)

Tickets for a dinner catered by Peddlers Village restaurans are $200. That event also will include a 25-minute question-and-answer session with Tebow.

After dinner, Tebow will host a lengthier presentation; tickets to that event range from $50 to $175.

Tickets for both events may be purchased online at pcs.thundertix.com.

Tebow's appearance will come on the heels of 2012 Founders Forum keynote speaker, former President George W. Bush. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin addressed the school in 2010.
