Tickets for Jazz Concert on Sale This Week

The three Central Bucks high schools will be playing Frank Zappa inspired jazz.

Tickets go on sale this week for a jazz concert that brings together all three Central Bucks high schools in a collaborative musical effort.

The jazz ensembles from Central Bucks East, West and South will perform the music of Frank Zappa in a concert Wed., Jan. 11. It starts at 7 p.m. at 's auditorium.

Tickets for the performance, which are $10, go on sale Friday, Jan. 6 at and the .

A trio of student jazz musicians will be playing at both stores to give folks a taste of what to look forward to on January 11, said Christine Auman, committee chair for jazz ensembles at CB West.

Special guest for the evening is New York-based jazz artist, composer and big band leader Ed Palermo. A special VIP meet-and-greet reception will be held before the concert for an additional fee.

All proceeds from the concert will go to pay for commissioned arrangements, new instruments and repairs to old ones, Auman said.
