School Board to Consider Three-Year Term for Acting Superintendent

David Weitzel has been serving as acting superintendent since late July.

The Central Bucks School Board on Tuesday will consider appointing David Weitzel as superintendent for a three-year term beginning Oct. 9.

Weitzel has been serving as acting superintendent since late July, after the board approved a costly separation agreement with former superintendent Rodney Green, who left the district after nine months.

Before serving as acting superintendent, Weitzel was Central Bucks' assistant superintendent for elementary education. He was a principal at Warwick and New-Hope Solebury Elementary Schools before coming to Central Bucks.
