New President Appointed to Central Bucks School Board

Paul Faulkner has been appointed as president of the Central Bucks School Board. His appointment came during the board's annual reorganization meeting.

Faulkner represents Region 5, which includes Chalfont Borough, New Britain Township South 1 and 2, West 1 and 2. Former president Stephen Corr will now serve as vice president.

The board also began discussions on a 2014-2015 budget. A proposed preliminary budget that was presented Monday calls for $299 million in spending, up 3 percent from last year.

The board will vote on a preliminary budget in early 2014; a final budget must be adopted in June.
