Kids Only 3K Race Takes Over Central Park

More than 400 Doylestown area kids will be running in the iRun4Life race Sunday morning.

Around 9 a.m. Sunday, hundreds of kids from around Central Bucks will have a chance to test their endurance and strength in a real road race.

The iRun4Life kids only race will be held in Doylestown Township's Central Park Sunday morning.

It is open to all kids from kindergarten to 6th grade. More than 400 runners already were signed up for the 3 kilometer (1.8 miles) race, organizers said, and more were expected to register before the race.

The 3K is the goal race for the iRun4Life after school running program. About 2,000 children from 14 schools, including 10 in the Central Bucks School District, participated in this year's program.
