Five CB South Track Team Members Honored in Harrisburg

Rep. Kathy Watson (R-Bucks/144th) presented the team members with legislative citations for their accomplishments.

Five Central Bucks High School South students were recognized in Harrisburg today for their achievements on the girls’ track and field team. 

Senior Kaitlin Poiesz, junior Amber Stratz, senior Alexa Kwapinski and junior Brianna Stratz, two-time discus champ Taylor Hojnacki were recognized by the state House for their gold medal finishes at the 2014 PIAA Track and Field Championships.

“These young ladies competed to the best of their abilities, with four of them smashing a state record in the 4x800 meter relay, and another young lady winning her second state title in the discus,” Watson said. “We are pleased to recognize them for their state championships.”

“On behalf of the House of Representatives, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to you all, as well as all those who assisted the team, upon your stellar season and championship victory,” Watson said during her introduction of the champs on the House floor. “We commend you for skillfully using your abilities with unflagging dedication in pursuit of athletic excellence, and we offer best wishes for success in all your future endeavors.”
