Firefighters Visit Central Bucks Schools

Doylestown firefighters took their fire safety talks on the road recently.

Volunteer firefighters from the Doylestown Fire Company took time out recently to visit area schools, spreading a message of fire safety awareness.

The visits were part of the department's outreach efforts during National Fire Prevention Week. And by all reports, they were a highlight of the kids' days.

"Our first and second graders had a blast squirting the fire hose, touring the fire truck, and learning about fire safety," said Linden Elementary's Emily Bredow, who teaches second grade.
