Doylestown Student Awarded Mercyhurst College Scholarship
Freshman Alexa Lucente is the recipient of the Black Family Scholarship.
Doylestown resident Alexa Lucente is the recipient of the Black Family Scholarship at Mercyhurst College, according to a press release from the school.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students must be studying in the School of Arts and Humanities. Lucente is currently a freshman majoring in Dance.
The scholarship provides financial assistance to traditional full-time students who study arts and humanities at the college. To be considered for the scholarship, a faculty member recommends an eligible student based upon talent. Then the financial aid department selects recipients of the Black Family Scholarship based on financial need, according to the press release.
