Cold Spring School Chorus Competing in B101 Competition

Voting ran all day Monday for the Central Bucks School District's entry in the B101 Christmas Choir competition.

By early Tuesday morning, the Cold Spring Elementary School 6th grade chorus should know if it made the finals in the 2012 B101 Christmas Choir competition.

The Buckingham school chorus' version of "Hot Chocolate" was selected as one of nine semi-finalists, and voting ran all day Monday.

Cold Spring was up against Christ The King Regional Grammar School and Country Day School of the Sacred Heart.

The winner of Monday's round goes on to the final round on Thursday. The winner is expected to be announced Tuesday morning around 7 a.m. on the B101 morning show.

Under the direction of Mike Gruver, Cold Spring's music teacher, the choir performed the song from the Christmas movie, The Polar Express, and recorded it at the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology.

Chris Tully, who runs the Multimedia Technology program at MBIT, set up the recording at the school. One of his students, Connor Lepre, recorded and mixed the song.

Here are the other kindergarten - 8th grade semi-finalists which will be featured on the Tiffany & Michael morning show Tuesday and Wednesday.
