CB Basketball Takes on Cancer

The CB West and CB East boys basketball teams face off tonight to kick off Coaches vs. Cancer, with a special remembrance of Morgan Mysza.

The laces in the boys' shoes will be pink, and both the fans and the players will be dressed in special shirts.

And though she won't be with them in body, Morgan Mysza surely will be with them in spirit.

The on Jan. 12 remains the honorary captain of Team Morgan, and her vibrancy will continue to inspire the athletes and fans and their families and friends of Central Bucks.

Tonight, that spirit will be evident - from the "Team Morgan" shirts and hoodies to the doodles of ladybugs, Morgan's favorite - as the boys basketball teams from at CB East in the kickoff to local Coaches vs. Cancer events.

The junior varsity game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at 7 p.m.

The girls basketball teams will be doing their part for the cause on Friday, as teams from CB South and CB East meet again at .

At both games, donations from the sale of baked goods, basket raffle tickets, t-shirts, and more will go to Team Morgan or Coaches vs. Cancer.

The comes on Saturday, Feb. 11. The day will include a basketball tournament for kids in 3rd through 8th grades, an exhibition by the high school teams, music, jump ropers, and a teachers vs. seniors game, among other events.

Admission is a suggested donation of $5, and organizers say there will be lots of food, silent auction items and raffle baskets.
