Acting Superintendent Appointed by School Board

David P. Weitzel has been appointed as acting superintendent of the Central Bucks School District.

The Central Bucks School Board of Directors on Tuesday appointed David P. Weitzel as acting superintendent. Weitzel has served as the district's assistant superintendent for elementary education since 2006.

He will replace Rodney Green, who left Central Bucks after the district approved a costly separation agreement earlier this month. Green had only been at Central Bucks since October.

Weitzel's resume includes the role of principal at Warwick Elementary and New-Hope Solebury Elementary.
