Doylestown Township’s own Central Park Kids Castle is fast on its way to a renovation due to the efforts of  the Friends of  Kids Castle group.

The mission of  the group, which is madeup of  community members, is to restore the structure withnontoxic, maintenance-free recycled materials so that it maybe enjoyed by current and future generations.

The organization needs to raise $150,000 by March 2013 tostay on target with current goals and to complete phase one—the restoration of  the inside play area of  the castle.

Schools in the area are collecting ideas by asking students to draw what they want on their dream play-ground. The organization leaders will then integrate the visionof  the children into the new structure.

The Save the Kids Castle organization is in need of  help fromthe community to realize the vision and move through thephases of  the plan.

Current donation opportunities includethe sponsorship of  specific art pieces, lovingly restored bylocal artists. These opportunities can be found in the onlinestore on the Save Kids Castle website.

The group is also asking the community to join the effort with monetary donations and volunteering opportunities. More information on how to
help is available at www.SaveKidsCastle.org
