A Message from FRIENDS of the Library
A message from FRIENDS of the Doylestown Library: Please hold book donations until March.
I couldn't make Debbie Dadey's program for children this past Saturday, but understand that everyone who did had a great time. So - on behalf of the community: THANK YOU, FRIENDS of the Doylestown Library, for presenting a program to foster a love of books and the library in our children.
Now, for a request from the FRIENDS: Please hold donations of books for the book sale until March. They're happy to receive books for the sale in the fall but, for the next few weeks, storing them will be a problem. And, when you donate books, please remember the guidelines. They can't use textbooks, magazines, anything falling apart, mildewy or moldy, outdated computer books, or adult material. The last is not a value judgment, but a consideration of the fact that there are so many kids at the sale and that Key Club members (high schoolers) and Scouts help with set up and clean-up. Bottom line: use common sense. If you wouldn't buy it, it's doubtful anyone will either.
