Weather Holding Up Kids Castle Repairs

Excessive rain and now high heat is delaying progress at Kids Castle, according to township officials. 

Kids Castle, the popular children's playground in Doylestown Township's Central Park, has been closed since March for repairs. 

Doylestown Township Manager Stephanie Mason said the reopening of Kids Castle will be delayed due to the weather. "We were shooting for the beginning of August but with the weather are somewhat behind a few weeks," Mason said.

Community members have created the Save Kids Castle group to raise money to repair and improve the playground. A second phase of work, which includes replacing additional equipment, is slated for the future.
