Road Work This Week

Check here for updates on area roads affected by Route 202 Parkway construction.

Motorists may encounter periodic lane closures and slow moving traffic on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) and Route 63 (Welsh Road) in Montgomery County this week as crews pave at the southern end of the Route 202 Parkway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

PennDOT will open the new 8.4 mile, $200 million state-funded Parkway in mid-to-late fall to enhance travel between Montgomeryville and Doylestown.

Final paving at the southern end of the Parkway, along with guide rail placement and other miscellaneous construction activities, will restrict travel on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Swedesford and Knapp roads and on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump and North Wales roads on Monday through Friday (Sept. 10-14) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Paving also may extend into the evening hours any night of the paving operation.
