PHOTOS: Central Bucks Recovers From Hurricane Sandy

As Tuesday dawned, Central Bucks County began awakening to survey the damage left by the epic storm.

Sandy has left the building.

But as Tuesday dawned, residents of Central Bucks County emerged from their homes to survey the damage caused by the epic hurricane.

The flooding that so many of us worried about, given our experiences last year with Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee, didn't materialize.

Instead, the most widespread damage was from fallen trees.

Across Bucks County, large trees and tree limbs fell across streets and roads and onto power lines.

In downtown Doylestown, a huge tree next to Burpee Park is leaning across Church Street near Ashland.

A large limb broke off a tree in front of the rectory at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, forcing the closure of East State Street and leaving power lines dangling in the street.
