Why do you want to serve on the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors?

I have five good reasons for wanting to run for Supervisor and they are my children, Colin, Garrett, Hayden, Luke, and Shawn Jr. I have a responsibility to make sure that where they live remains the safe, affordable, bucolic and healthy community which I have enjoyed.

What would you like to see happen on the property at York and Swamp roads, which developer Joe Grasso has been tussling over with the township for years?

I want to see the property owner and neighbors come together and agree on a solution that each party can live with. A solution which is beneficial to the property owner and an asset to the community. These are not mutually exclusive goals.

What are the most important issues facing Doylestown Township today?

I have knocked on over 1,500 doors and the overwhelming concern of residents is budget and taxes. I will use my perspective as a small business owner to help our township be fiscally strong in the face of a challenging economy and use common sense in making a distinction between mandatory and discretionary spending, which has become blurred. If we don't have it, we don't spend it.
