East Court Street to be Closed

Residents and business owners must move their cars off the street by 6 am on Thursday.

An important stretch of E. Court Street in Doylestown will be closed for about a week while borough workers improve the road.

The section of the road to be affected stretches from Broad Street, at the courthouse, past Doylestown Presbyterian Church, Salem United Church of Christ and the Doylestown Cemetery, to East Street.

Residents and business owners are asked to move their cars off of E. Court by Thursday, Oct. 20 at 6 a.m.

That's when borough workers will begin tac coating and then paving the road, officials said Tuesday.

The borough warned that the coating will stick to cars and feet - so don't plan to walk or drive through the area after work has started.

The street already has been milled, in preparation for the paving work, which is expected to take one week, the borough said.
