Recapped a about the borough's electric service. The power company plans to shut off power a few times in early October to continue testing and repairing equipment. It will work with borough officials to notify businesses and residents before the planned outages.

Approved two signs for businesses, Allure West photography studio at 15 E. State St., and Mercury Tattoo Studio at 19 Donaldson St.

Restored an exemption for small building projects from the state's strict new stormwater management laws. Projects of less than 1,000 square feet will no longer have to submit stormwater management plans.

Adopted a new, self-governed pension plan for non-uniformed borough employees that is expected to save the borough money and increase benefits for the employees.

Announced a zoning hearing Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. to consider an application to expand a restaurant and bar into at 29 S. Main Street.

Agreed to participate in a second study on creating a regional police force for Central Bucks. The new study, which will be done by the state, will consider the ramifications of merging the police forces from Doylestown and New Britain boroughs and Doylestown, New Britain and Plumstead townships. Warwick Township had been a partner in a previous study, but decided not to pursue the merger.
