DEP to Host Information Session on Dutch Maid Cleaners Site

The meeting, to be held Wednesday, will address concerns regarding the cleanup of groundwater and soil contamination at the site.

The Department of Environmental Protection will host a public information session this Wednesday at 7 p.m. regarding the Dutch Maid Cleaners site.
The meeting, to be held at Borough Hall, will address concerns regarding the cleanup of groundwater and soil contamination at the site, located at 191 S. Clinton Street in Doylestown Borough.
DEP first learned of the contamination in 2006, when sampling at a nearby gas station showed levels of unrelated compounds in the groundwater.
Sampling at the Dutch Maid Cleaners site confirmed PCE and TCE in the soil, according to DEP.
During the meeting, DEP will present background information regarding the site, activities taking place since 2006 and plans moving forward.
