Borough Residents to be Billed Separately for Water, Sewer in 2014

Additionally, sewer bills will sent monthly not quarterly, according to information from the borough.

As of the first of the month, Doylestown Borough residents will receive two separate bills for their water and sewer fees.

According to information from Doylestown Borough, effective Jan.1, the Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority (BCWSA) will take over their sewer billing from Doylestown Borough. Doylestown Borough will continue to distribute water bills, however.

Additionally, sewer bills will sent monthly not quarterly, according to information from the borough.

“Due to Doylestown Borough's system of quarterly billing, BCWSA customers will receive their first sewer bill in January 2014 for one, two or three months of sewer service (depending on their cycle) to close out 2013,” an announcement on the Doylestown Borough website said.

Starting in February, customers will get a monthly sewer bill from BCWSA.

Water bills from the borough will remain on the same quarterly schedule. Water rates will not increase 2014.
