Borough Offers Tree-cycling

Doylestown Borough residents can drop off their Christmas trees for recycling.

It looks so pretty, sparkling in the living room throughout the holiday season - and so sad out by the curb in the trash.

Doylestown Borough residents, though, have options when it comes to disposing of Christmas trees. The borough once again will make it easy to give that evergreen another life.

Borough residents can drop off live Christmas trees at the borough's public works yard at the north end of Harvey Avenue. Trees can be dropped at the collection area just outside the gate.

Trees can be dropped off any time day or night through the end of January, borough manager John Davis said Wednesday.

The borough public works employees usually put the trees through a chipper and turn them into wood chips.
