Acme Liquor License Transfer Hearing is Wednesday

Acme is proposing to add a 30 seat cafe to their store that serves beer. It also wants to offer beer for take-out purchase.

The hearing for an inter-municipal liquor license transfer that would allow Acme Market in the Doylestown Shopping Center to serve and sell beer will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Acme is proposing to add a 30 seat cafe to their store that serves beer. It also wants to offer beer for take-out purchase, borough officials said.

But first, the store needs approval to transfer a liquor license from the Buffalo Grill in Buckingham, which is now closed.

State regulations require a public hearing before Borough Council can approve the transfer. “Council must approve the request unless it finds that it will adversely affect the welfare of the Borough or its residents,” according to an announcement from the Borough.

The public hearing will be held at Borough Hall, 57 W. Court St.
