Woman Dies While Kayaking on Delaware

The woman's kayak overturned near Prahls Island and she became stuck.

A 50-year-old New York woman died while kayaking on the Delaware River Saturday, according to reports. 

According to the Intelligencer, the woman's kayak overturned on the Tinicum side of Prahls Island and she became stuck. CPR was unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at Doylestown Hospital, the publication reported. 

The woman was identified by authorities Monday as Jody Lynn Walker of North Tonawanda, New York.
