Woman Brought Grandkids Along to Heroin Drug Deal, Police Say

Police say Brenda Pelzer, 52, sold a confidential informant $75 worth of heroin Tuesday with her three grandchildren in tow.

A Southwestern Pennsylvania grandmother is facing charges for selling heroin—and police say she took her grandkids along during the deal.

Charleroi Regional Police say Brenda Pelzer, 52, of Washington County sold a confidential informant $75 worth of heroin Tuesday with her three grandchildren in tow, according to The Observer-Reporter.

The deal involved eight stamp bags of heroin, police told The Observer-Reporter. After she was arrested, Pelzer was found with two additional stamp bags of heroin.

Pelzer is being held in Washington County Jail after being unable to post $100,000 bail.

Pelzer is charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession, criminal use of a communications facility and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 12.
