UPDATE: 31K Affected by Widespread Power Outages in Bucks

More than 31,000 customers in Central Bucks County are without power Monday afternoon.

Widespread power outages have been reported throughout the Doylestown area. A PECO outage map shows more than 31,300 customers are currently without power in the region as of 3:15 p.m. Monday. According to PECO's outage map, more than 4,200 customers in Doylestown Township are without power and more than 3,500 in the borough are without power. In Buckingham, 2,500 customers have reported outages.

According to Doylestown Borough officials, the outage is due to an issue at the Buckingham substation. Borough officials announced via Facebook that area has been impacted. "Please exercise caution as generators are deployed to signalized intersections without power," officials announced on the borough's Facebook page.

Doylestown Township officials confirmed power outages were reported in the area near Doylestown Country Club.
