Wallet Stolen and Businesses Spray-Painted

Plus, two charged with DUI and one with drug possession in Doylestown Borough this week.

Here are this week's police reports from Doylestown Borough:

Theft

A wallet was stolen from a purse that was briefly left unsecured in a Main Street gas station lobby on Thursday, April 5 at approximately 2:00 PM.

The victim reported that she left her purse on a bench in the lobby area as she went outside for a short time. When she returned, she noticed that her wallet had been removed from the purse.

The wallet is described as a black Harley Davidson leather wallet containing debit cards, insurance cards, the victim’s identification, and approximately $20 cash.

Public Drunkenness

Christopher Pio, 52, Redbud Court, Warrington, was cited on Saturday, April 7 at approximately 12:05 AM after he reportedly fell on State Street in the area of Donaldson Street.

Pio was transported to Abington Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Driving Under the Influence

Thomas Johns, 21, Redcoat Farm Drive, Chalfont, was arrested on Saturday, April 7 at approximately 1:29 AM after the vehicle he was driving failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Clinton Street.

During the traffic stop, Johns was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Johns was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Public Drunkenness

Juan Sarmiento, 24, York Road, Hatboro, was cited on Saturday, April 7 at approximately 3:43 AM after he was observed sleeping on the front steps of a Main Street bar.

Criminal Mischief

Three businesses on the 200 block of W. Ashland Street had graffiti spray-painted on the rear walls of their properties.

The graffiti was written in orange and purple spray paint.

The damage occurred sometime between 6:00 PM on Friday, April 6 and 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 7.

Drug Violations

William Wolstenholme, 21, Yorkshire Road, Doylestown, was arrested on Saturday, April 7 at approximately 11:07 PM after an officer found him in possession of a small amount of marijuana, a disk commonly used for grinding marijuana, and two packages of cigarette rolling papers.

Wolstenholme was stopped after he was observed hitch-hiking on Ashland Street in the area of Golfview Road.

Driving Under the Influence

Skyler Gall, 20, Easton Road, Doylestown, was arrested on Sunday, April 8 at approximately 2:12 AM after the vehicle he was driving failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection of State and Hamilton Streets.

During the traffic stop, Gall was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Gall was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Gall is also charged with liquor law and motor vehicle violations.

Ordinance Violation

Patrick McCoy, 20, Westbury Court, Doylestown, was cited on Sunday, April 8 at approximately 2:10 PM after he was observed skateboarding in the middle of West Street.

McCoy had been previously warned about the skateboard ordinance.

Criminal Mischief

A representative from a Main Street barbershop reported that someone damaged a spotlight aimed at his business sign sometime between 5:30 PM on Friday, April 6 and 7:27 AM on Tuesday, April 10.

The damage is estimated at approximately $150.

Theft

Someone removed approximately $3 in change from an unsecured vehicle parked on the double-digit block of East Street.

The theft occurred sometime between 10:00 PM on Tuesday, April 10 and 9:00 AM on Wednesday, April 11.
