Vegas Visitor Charged with Public Pooping

What happens in Vegas should have stayed in Vegas.

A visitor from Las Vegas apparently decided to relieve himself in a very public way last weekend.

Doylestown Borough Police arrested Jorge Carpio, 40, of Tam Drive, Las Vegas, NV, on Sunday, September 25.

They say Carpio allegedly was observed defecating in a laundry room at Spruce Court Apartments. The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. that night, they said.

Carpio was charged with criminal mischief, indecent exposure, open lewdness, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct.

Here are the other incidents in the police blotter this week:

Criminal Mischief

Two mailboxes were noted to have graffiti on them on Thursday, September 22. The first mailbox is located at the corner of Belmont Avenue and Spruce Street. The second mailbox is at the corner of Maple Avenue and State Street. 

The graffiti was written in black marker.

Ordinance Violation

A 15-year old male was cited on Thursday, September 22 at approximately 4:24 PM after he was observed skateboarding in the middle of W. Oakland Avenue.

The male had previously been warned about the skateboard ordinance.

Criminal Mischief

A resident of an apartment in the Lenape Building reported that someone wrote an obscenity on the front door of her residence.

The damage was reported on Thursday, September 22 at approximately 8:14 PM.

Liquor Laws

John Cooney, 20, Georges Lane, Warrington, Victoria Jauss, 19, Cherokee Road, New Britain, and Nickol Keenan, 20, Chubb Drive, Doylestown, were cited on Thursday, September 22 at approximately 11:00 PM after officers stopped to investigate a group of young adults at the Doylestown Shopping Center and found them to exhibit signs of alcohol consumption.

Criminal Mischief

A representative from Doylestown Floor Covering reported that someone carved a racial slur into the body of his business truck, which was parked in the rear lot of his business.

The damage occurred sometime between Saturday, September 10 and Saturday, September 24.

No estimate for the damage has been reported.

Driving Under the influence

A 17-year old female, Doylestown, was arrested on Saturday, September 24 at approximately 5:58 PM after a representative from TD Bank reported an intoxicated female attempting to cash a check at the drive-thru teller.

During the traffic stop, the female was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

The female was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood tests.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 17-year old male, Perkasie, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Assault

Officers are investigating the report of an assault that occurred outside a S. Main Street bar on Sunday, September 25 at approximately 2:50 AM.

The victim reported that he was kicked in the left knee, causing it to hyperextend.

An acquaintance transported the victim to Doylestown Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Criminal Mischief

Two mailboxes were noted to have graffiti written on them on Sunday, September 25.

The first mailbox is located on the 100 block of E. State Street. The second mailbox was located on the tens block of E. Oakland Avenue.

Graffiti was written in black marker.

Burglary

A resident of the 200 block of N. Main Street reported that someone entered his residence and removed a Dell laptop computer.

The theft occurred sometime between 9:00 AM on Sunday, September 25 and 8:15 AM on Monday, September 26.

There were no signs of forced entry into the residence.

Criminal Mischief

A stop sign at the corner of Maple Avenue and Rohr Drive was noted to have graffiti written on it on Monday, September 26.

Graffiti was written in white paint.

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked in the lot of had a tire punctured sometime between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 24.

No estimate for the damage has been provided.

Driving Under the Influence

Wooldridge Oliver, 18, Upper Mountain Road, Lahaska, was arrested on Tuesday, September 27 at approximately 5:41 PM after he allegedly was involved in two hit and run accidents, the first on Court Street in the area of Main Street and the second on East Street in the area of School Hill Drive.

Oliver’s vehicle was stopped in the area of Swamp Road and Route 202. During the traffic stop, he was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication.

Oliver was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood tests.

Disorderly Conduct

Bryan Clayton, 46, Main Street, Doylestown, was cited on Tuesday, September 27 at approximately 11:15 PM after officers received a complaint of loud music coming from his residence.

Clayton had been previously warned about noise levels at his residence.

Burglary

A representative from reported that someone entered the business and removed approximately $400.00 from the building sometime between 8:55 PM on Tuesday, September 27 and 7:30 AM on Wednesday, September 28.

Entry appears to have been made through one of the front customer service windows.

Drug Violations

Shawn Garnett, 19, Veterans Highway, Levittown, was arrested on Wednesday, September 28 at approximately 8:37 AM after Courthouse Security located a suspected marijuana cigarette in his possession as he entered the .

Burglary

A resident of the 100 block of W. Ashland Street reported that someone entered the residence and removed approximately $400 from a bookshelf in one of the bedrooms.

The theft occurred sometime between 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM on Tuesday, September.

Criminal Mischief

Graffiti was observed on the basement door of a S. Main Street engineering business on Thursday, September 29.

Graffiti was written in black marker.
